Focus on products from neustark’s partners

More and more recyclers are relying on the innovative CO2 storage technology from neustark to produce sustainable building materials. By carbonating concrete granulate, CO2 is permanently bound in the concrete, improving the environmental footprint.

Numerous companies are already using this technology to establish carbonated recycled concrete on the market successfully. The following examples show how these companies market their products and what advantages these environmentally friendly building materials offer.

HEIM-Cemex Group has commissioned the first CO2 storage plant in the EU.

Möckli Beton AG, Switzerland

NovoCon is an innovative recycled concrete that stores CO2 through carbon capture and storage in the concrete granulate.

Advertising proposition...

Sustainability through CO2 storage, improved concrete quality and high recycling rate. The conservation of primary resources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions are particularly emphasized. The Möckli Beton AG also mentions that the concrete can be transported over 90 kilometers (instead of 25 as with regular RC concrete) before it no longer makes ecological sense.

Properties

  • Storage of 10 kg of CO2/m3 of concrete.
  • Recycling rate of over 99 %.
  • Optimized fresh and hardened concrete properties.

Risi AG, Switzerland

Jura Cyclo Carbo is a sustainable structural concrete made with carbonated concrete granulate, which stores up to 10 kg of CO2 per cubic meter. The carbon footprint improves by 5 % compared to concrete with untreated concrete granulate.

Advertising proposition...

Sustainability through CO2 storage and compliance with strict environmental standards, such as MINERGIE-ECO® regulations. The regional origin of the raw materials and the improvement of the carbon footprint are particularly emphasized.

Properties

  • Storage of 10 kg of CO2/m3 of concrete.
  • Meets MINERGIE-ECO® regulations.
  • Recycled content: contains regional concrete granulate from demolition material.
  • Produced with 100 % Swiss raw materials.

Risi's sustainable structural concrete is developed using neustark technology.

Vigier Beton AG, Switzerland

ECOTOP and ECOGOLD are CO2-reduced recycled concretes with high environmental friendliness. In addition to the CO2-enriched RC concrete, ECOGOLD also uses sustainable cement. They combine a high proportion of recycled material with additional CO2 storage to further improve the carbon footprint.

Advertising proposition...

Sustainability, CO2 savings and the use of recycled materials. Vigier Beton emphasizes the CO2 binding and the high recycling rate of the concretes.

Properties

  • ECOTOP: CO2 savings of 30-35 %.
  • ECOGOLD: CO2 savings of 35-45 %, cement with less than 100 kg CO2 permetric ton.

Vigier and Alluvia have jointly invested in a neustark plant for durable carbon removal.

Alluvia AG, Switzerland

Green in grey is a CO2-reduced concrete made with recarbonated mixed and concrete granules. It contains up to 75 % recycled content and also binds CO2. The concrete of Alluvia AG is further used for environmentally friendly construction
projects or recycled concrete for building construction.

Advertising proposition...

High recycled content and minimal CO2 footprint, concrete for sustainable construction projects and the circular economy.

Properties

  • Up to 75 % recycled granulate.
  • CO2 storage through recarbonation of the granulate.
  • Reduced CO2 footprint.

The CO2 storage facility from Alluvia and Vigier has an annual storage capacity of 1,000 tons.

Conclusion

In summary, the aforementioned companies show how neustark's CO2 storage technology is successfully used in concrete production. These sustainable products promote the circular economy and contribute to reaching our climate goals.

The improved properties of carbonated concretes increase confidence in these solutions and allow recyclers to offer environmentally friendly options that are both technically and economically viable.

Given the increasing demand for sustainable building materials, now is the ideal time for recyclers to invest in these technologies and offer their customers eco-friendly options.
